Hi, I’m Barbara, and my yoga journey began decades ago, long before yoga became mainstream.
In those early years, I sought peace and clarity amid a world
filled with noise and confusion.
Practicing yoga once or twice a week offered me energy and vitality, but it took time, dedication, and exploration across various yoga styles to understand the deeper power
of this practice.
Over the years, yoga became more than exercise :
it became a way of living, a mindful path to
self-awareness, balance, and calm.
Yoga, for me, is about creating space — in the body, in the mind, and in life.
Through gentle movement and intentional breathwork, I help students reconnect with their natural rhythm and release what no longer serves them.
My classes are welcoming, inclusive, and grounded in mindfulness.
Whether we’re exploring Gentle Hatha, Yin, or Restorative yoga, my goal is to guide students toward strength, softness, and the quiet confidence that comes from inner peace.

I bring a blend of science-based fitness expertise and holistic awareness to every class I teach.
I hold certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as an Exercise Physiologist (since 1998), the American Nordic Walking Association (since 2006), and as a Group Fitness Instructor through AFAA (since 2022).
I currently teach Gentle Hatha Yoga at Basics Fitness
in Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga .
Each class reflects my lifelong commitment to learning, movement, and mindful living..
